Q&A: Buckle on must-dos, Greg Norman and success

Dec. 28, 2006

Andrew Buckle had six top-10 finishes, including a win at the Virginia Beach Open on the 2006 Nationwide Tour. Thanks to his strong performance, Buckle will be playing on the PGA TOUR in 2007. He spoke to PGATOUR.com for this Q&A.

PGATOUR.com: Tell me three things not related to golf that you consider must-dos before you're on the wrong side of the divot?
Buckle: "Sky dive. Bungee jump. Have kids.''

PGATOUR.com: What is your wildest golf dream?
Buckle: "Winning the U.S. Masters.''

PGATOUR.com: What aspect of the Nationwide Tour will you miss most next season?
Buckle: "The friendships I've made for sure. Plus it's pretty cool going to all the small towns we visit. Everyone seems to hang out together, and when I say everyone I mean the players and the caddies.''

PGATOUR.com: What was your welcome-to-professional-golf moment?
Buckle: "It was in the second round of the second tournament I played in Australia. The last hole was a drivable par 4 and I decided to have a go at it. My ball wound up on the green, but I didn't know the group in front was still on it. After I burned the edge for eagle the head rules official pulled me aside and had a word with me.
