EDITOR'S NOTE: Lucas Glover is playing in the Wachovia Championship this week. He's coming off a tie for eighth at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and has two top-10s at Quail Hollow in three starts there. The Clemson grad will have plenty of support this week, as you'll see in this edition of his blog for PGATOUR.com.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- This has been a good week already for me. The Wachovia Championship is about 90 minutes from my home on Greenville, S.C., so I feel very comfortable here. A lot of friends and family come to see me play, and it's always nice to have so much support. I don't know how many people wanted tickets. I had two different lists I was working from -- I'm just thankful the people here at Wachovia and Atlanta and Greensboro are so accommodating when the tournament rolls around. Between my wife's family and my family, we'll probably have about a couple dozen out there. We don't have a name for them or anything -- they just show up and holler.

We had a nice following today in the pro-am. Of course, the first group off the tee -- Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan -- put a lot of people in the stands. We had a couple of guest walkers in our group on the first nine -- Jimmie Johnson and Casey Mears. I don't follow NASCAR all that closely, but meeting them kind of peaked my interest. Jimmie won the NEXTEL Cup last year. I was asking them all the questions like my pro-am partners are usually asking me. I didn't think to ask him about our FedExCup, though.

Tuesday's practice round was fun, too. We had an auction late last year to raise money for South Carolina junior golf and the Clemson golf program. One of the things people bid on was the chance to caddy for me, Charles Warren and Jonathan Byrd at Hilton Head and again here at Wachovia. So Tuesday, we had the two dads and their sons who won on our bags. It was funny. The dads alternated every three holes. But they tortured the sons and made them carry the bags the whole way. We had a good time, though, and I think they did, too.

Now it's time to get down to business. I am hitting the ball as well as I have in a long time. I feel like Quail Hollow suits me, too. I've had two top-10s here in three starts, so I feel like if I can make some putts I can play well. I played three good rounds my last time out at New Orleans. I just didn't play well on Saturday. So I need to put four rounds together, and this would be a great place to start.

I'm ready to play again after taking last week off. I had played five it a row, and this week starts another stretch of five straight. I know that's a lot, but it just seems like all my favorite tournaments are right here in a row. So I needed the break. I got away from golf completely last Monday and Tuesday. I opened mail, did some chores around the house and caught up with friends and family I hadn't seen in a while. Then I played Wednesday to shake the rust off and spent Thursday through Sunday on the range. There was a member-guest at Thorneblade, which is my home course, on the weekend, and besides, I needed to hit some balls. I had some stuff to work on in my full swing. I am trying to get back to being comfortable drawing the ball. That's natural for me, but some uncharacteristic fades had been creeping into my game. Technically, I was too far on top of the ball and I needed to get a little more under it. I wanted to work on turning my shoulders and leaving them there going down. All indications yesterday and today are that I worked on the right stuff. Now I just have to get some confidence in my putter. I play late tomorrow, so I'll go out early and try to find some keys to work on.

It would be great to play well at Quail Hollow and take that momentum into THE PLAYERS Championship next week. This will just be my second PLAYERS, and that tournament is a big one, for sure. I haven't played the course since the renovation and I'm really anxious to see it. I hear the course is in great shape, and I hear it's daunting looking down the 18th at the new clubhouse. It will be great to see what all has been done. Plus, it's all Bermuda now, and I've had some success on Bermuda, for sure. So I'm really looking forward to it. But first things first. I want to win the Wachovia Championship.
