Wendy's Champions Skins Game: Day 2 Notebook PGA Tour Media Official WAILEA, Hawaii -- By virtue of teaming with Tom Watson in the Wendy's Champions Skins Game this weekend and winning nine skins and $320,000 ($160,000 each), Jack Nicklaus has now amassed a record 96 skins in his 17 appearances in this event. A total of 60 have come on the front nine and 36 on the back nine. Nicklaus has now won a total of $2,295,000, the most by any player in the history of this event. Tom Watson's title is his second, joining a 2004 victory. 7-ELEVEN: When Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson captured the 11th hole with a birdie, it earned the pair seven skins and $260,000. That marked the sixth time Nicklaus has won seven or more skins on one hole. He holds the record for most skins earned on a single hole (nine/2001). Watson has now won 36 skins and he has never been shut out in five starts in Hawaii in the affair. FINISHING STRONG: The team of Arnold Palmer and Loren Roberts claimed the final skin ($100,000/$50,000 each) and their first when Palmer made a 10-foot birdie on the second playoff hole. It was Palmer's first skin since he won five in 2004. He has now earned $1,255,000. IN THE MONEY: With all four teams earning money, it marked the first time since 2000 that all four participants earned money in the event. NEVER SHUT OUT: The team of Raymond Floyd and Dana Quigley claimed two skins and it marked the ninth time in nine appearances that Floyd has won skins.
