• 29-year-old Jonathan Byrd (two wins) and Charles Howell III are the lone Americans with multiple TOUR victories under the age of 30. Byrd posted a 6-under-par 65 and sits in solo third entering the final round.

• Ten players have the opportunity to post four rounds in the 60s this week: Nathan Green, Tim Clark, Jonathan Byrd, Kenny Perry, Billy Mayfair, Jeff Gove, Troy Matteson, Michael Sim, Stephen Leaney and Chris Tidland. Tidland has recorded three rounds in the 60s thus far but sits T28.

• This week marks the last opportunity to earn a 2007 Open Championship exemption -- the leading player at the John Deere Classic inside the top 10, not otherwise exempt, will gain a spot in the Carnoustie field. Ties will be decided by the better final-round score, and if players are still tied the better third-round score and better second-round score will be the determining factor.

Carl Pettersson (T9) is the only player in the top-10 through 54 holes currently in the Open Championship field.

• The 2002 John Deere Classic champion J.P. Hayes (T13) has earned nearly 17 percent of his career earnings at the John Deere Classic. He has won $1,021,499 in the Quad Cities with a career total of $6,392,980.

Alex Cejka withdrew after seven holes on Saturday due to a neck injury.

• There were two eagles in Round 3, both on No. 17, by Billy Mayfair and Chris Stroud. Three players were bogey-free on Saturday: Brian Gay, Mark Brooks and Dicky Pride.
