Finishers in the elite top 30 on the money list earn a spot in some of next year's most prestigious events -- The Masters, U.S. Open, and World Golf Championships-CA Championship.

The 30th position on the money list after the Children's Miracle Network Classic is projected to be approximately $2.12 million. This estimate is derived by analyzing trends in historical data maintained by the PGA TOUR, coupled with current year performance and purse sizes.

The table below shows players who are entered in this week's final PGA TOUR Fall Series event, and how they will need to perform in order to have a realistic chance of finishing within the top 30 on the money list. The negative numbers (red in parentheses) indicate that a player has already earned more than the amount projected for the 30th position. This projection could fluctuate, however, and players close to the threshold will need to perform well this week to maintain their position.

Players to watch:

There is a talented group within close striking distance of the top 30, including Justin Leonard, Jerry Kelly, Carl Pettersson, Heath Slocum, and Ken Duke. These players are likely to make a strong charge for the top 30 in Orlando this week.

Sean O'Hair needs a solo third or better to finish in the top 30. He has tied for fourth and fifth in the last two Fall Series events -- he is definitely playing some of his best golf of the season and should be a contender this week.

Further down the list are Daniel Chopra and George McNeill. Chopra won last week's Gin sur Mer Classic at Tesoro, and McNeill captured the Frys.com Open title two weeks earlier. These two players could carry their momentum into this week's tournament.

Brett Wetterich and Tim Clark, both playing this week, will need to make the cut and finish well to keep their spots in the top 30.

David Toms and Luke Donald are currently within the top 30, but not entered in this event. They are surrounded on all sides by some of the world's best golfers who are playing in Orlando, and solid performances by this group could bump Toms and Donald out of the top 30.
