| Sep. 26, 2007 Who could surprise? Tournament Coverage Which player could win at this weekend's Viking Classic? Our experts weigh in: T.J. Auclair PGATOUR.com Interactive Producer Pick: Carl Pettersson Coming off two top 10s -- a tie for 10th at the BMW Championship and a tie for fifth at the Turning Stone Resort Championship -- Pettersson is one of the hottest players on TOUR right now. The only thing missing in his impressive 2007, which has included 10 top 10s, is a win. The Swede could get that taken care of this week in Mississippi. Brett Avery The Fantasy Insider Pick: Carl Pettersson Another strong week at the Turning Stone Resort Championship marks his third top-10 placement in five starts. Now 38th on the money list ($1,783,282), another big finish could help him elbow into the top 30 and earn its many major championship and World Golf Championship exemptions. Lauren Deason PGATOUR.com Editorial Coordinator Pick: Bo Van Pelt Based on our criteria, my winner pick and sleeper pick are basically interchangeable this week, but Bo Van Pelt has had the better season and is coming off two top-5 finishes at the Viking Classic in his past two tries. His last tournament on the PGA TOUR was the BMW Championship, where BVP tied for 18th. He's finished in the top 30 in half of his starts this season. Melanie Hauser PGATOUR.com Correspondent Pick: Heath Slocum Yes, contemplated Bo Van Pelt and Boo Weekley. Went with Slocum, the 2005 winner here. Slocum's been close a number of times this year and coming back toward home might be the key to winning. Then again, you could say the same thing for Weekley. What do I know anyway? Dave Lagarde PGATOUR.com Senior Correspondent Pick: Heath Slocum Slocum has a great track record at Annandale Golf Club and feels comfortable in familiar surroundings. After a week off following THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola, he's rested and ready to go. John Maginnes PGATOUR.com Contributor Pick: Boo Weekley Boo Weekley told me at the beginning of the year that he wasn't taking his fishing poles to golf tournaments anymore. He would fish when he was at home. At tournaments it was all about the golf. I can't think of a tougher place on TOUR to test that commitment than Jackson. You don't even have to hook fish there, they just climb right up your line. But Boo isn't worried about landing a big one he wants to win another PGA TOUR event. What better place than in the deep south where he is amongst kinfolks? Helen Ross PGATOUR.com Chief of Correspondants Pick: Carl Pettersson The way he's playing this summer, it seems like it's only a matter of time before Pettersson picks up his third PGA TOUR title. The talented Swede keeps knocking on the door with four top-10s in his last five starts. Look for Pettersson to ride the momentum of that fifth-place tie last week at the Turning Stone Resort and contend again. Dave Shedloski PGATOUR.com Senior Correspondent Pick: Boo Weekley The unassuming Floridian isn't done establishing his credentials in 2007. Annandale Golf Club is a target course that Weekley should thrive on. Sixteenth in total driving and among the top 40 in all-around, Weekley should feel comfortable in any shootout that develops.
