IN TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
Year Score Player
2007 19-under 191 Tiger Woods
2007 16-under 194 Mark Calcavecchia
2007 14-under 196 Sergio Garcia
2005 14-under 196 Bart Bryant
2005 13-under 197 Zach Johnson
Note: All scores recorded at East Lake.

• Zach Johnson's 10-under 60 on Saturday is the season low round for 2007 on the PGA TOUR. Earlier this year, Brandt Snedeker recorded a 61 at the Buick Invitational (North Course).

• Zach Johnson posted eight birdies and an eagle to record his career low on the PGA TOUR with a 10-under-par 60, breaking the East Lake Golf Club course record of 62 held by Bart Bryant (2005), Tim Clark (2007) and Geoff Ogilvy (2007). Johnson also broke THE TOUR Championship tournament record held by Chad Campbell, who fired a 10-under 61 at Champions Golf Club in the third round in 2003.

• Zach Johnson's previous career-low on the PGA TOUR was a 63, 2005 Buick Championship (second round).

• Zach Johnson becomes the 20th player in PGA TOUR history to post a round of 60 in an official event. Three other players in this week's TOUR Championship field have also posted a 60 in an official PGA TOUR event: Mark Calcavecchia (29-31 at TPC Scottsdale in second round of 2001 Phoenix Open); Phil Mickelson (29-31 at TPC Scottsdale in second round of 2005 FBR Open; and Justin Rose (29-31) at Palm Course in first round of 2006 FUNAI Classic at Walt Disney World Resort.

• Mark Calcavecchia, who fired a 7-under 63 on Saturday and is alone in second, participated in the inaugural TOUR Championship in 1987 held at Oak Hills Country Club and tied for fifth. At age 47, he is making his 14th appearance at THE TOUR Championship. In 13 starts he has five top-10 finishes, including a career-best tie for third in the 1988 event.

• There have been 13 rounds of 62 or better recorded on the PGA TOUR in 2007, including three this week. The only other tournament with more than one player to posted a round of 62 or better this season was the Mayakoba Golf Classic (Fred Funk, 62, and Brent Geiberger, 62).

• Tiger Woods is 40-3 with at least a share of the 54-hole lead on the PGA TOUR and 13 of 13 in major championships. His last two non-wins after leading through 54 holes have come at East Lake Golf Club/THE TOUR Championship. In 2000, he was tied with Vijay at 10 under and finished second to phil Mickelson after a final-round 69. Mickelson shot 66. In 2004, he was tied with Jay Haas at 9 under and finished second to Goosen after a final-round 72. Retief Goosen shot 64.

• Tiger Woods saw his streak of turning 11 straight 54-hole leads into wins end at the 2004 TOUR Championship when Retief Goosen came from behind to win. And ironically, his previous streak of 19 straight also ended at East Lake GC during the 2000 TOUR Championship, where Woods also finished second after sharing the 54-hole lead with Vijay Singh.

• The only other time Tiger Woods has not gone on the win after holding the 54-hole lead was the first time in his career that he was the third-round leader. He held a one-stroke lead over Ed Fiori at the 1996 Quad City Classic, but closed with a 72 to finish tied for fifth in Moline, Ill.

• Tiger Woods' 19-under 191 total is his lowest first 54-hole score on the PGA TOUR in his career and is just two strokes off the all-time PGA TOUR Record total of 189 set by three players including Mark Calcavecchia (2001 Phoenix Open).

• In the history of THE TOUR Championship, only 17 of 591 players to play all 72 holes have posted four rounds in the 60s -- with seven of those players winning THE TOUR Championship. Only one player accomplished the feat last year -- champion Adam Scott. With one round remaining there are seven players with a chance to record four rounds in the 60s this week. They include: Tiger Woods, Mark Calcavecchia, Sergio Garcia, Hunter Mahan, Woody Austin, Vijay Singh, Scott Verplank and Rory Sabbatini. Woods has recorded four rounds in the 60s at the TOUR Championship three time in his 10 starts (1999, 2000, 2005).

• The TOUR Championship tournament record is 17-under 263 set by Bart Bryant in 2005 at East Lake GC. On Sunday in the final round, Tiger Woods needs to record a 1-over 71 on Sunday to break the tournament record, Mark Calcavecchia needs a 2-under 68 and Sergio Garcia needs to post a 4-under 66.

• A total of 20 of 30 players in the field broke par in round three, which had a scoring average of 67.800. Players who were bogey-free in the third round were Zach Johnson (60) and Vijay Singh (65).

• The 495-yard, par-5 15th hole is playing the easiest thus far at East Lake GC. Through 54 holes, the hole has a scoring average of 4.167 with 14 eagles, 48 birdies, 27 pars and one bogey. Brandt Snedeker (Rd. 3) is the only player in the field to post an above-par score on the hole for the week. The easiest hole on the 2007 PGA TOUR is the par-5 11th hole at the Palmer Course at PGA West (Bob Hope Chrysler Classic), which had a stroke average of 4.286.
