FedExCup Notes: Week 10

• Following this event, the top 10 in FedExCup points standings receive an invitation to the World Golf Championships-CA Championship. Here are the top players in the field and what they need (Note: most others could get into the field with a win):

Note: The top 10 after next week's event will also receive invitations, so if someone further down the list has a top 5 finish and is committed to the Arnold Palmer Invitational, they can get in with two good finishes.

• Several players who had good seasons last year are doing even better this year. Here are the players in the field who were top 70 seeds last year, and are at least 1,000 points ahead of last year's pace:

• Five players in the field could take over first in the FedExCup standings with a victory, and many could make huge moves. Here are the top 10 in the field, plus five other representative players:

J.B. Holmes 5th 5,849 pts

• He is virtually assured of getting into the CA Championship based on his FedExCup points standing.

• Holmes would take over first in the FedExCup points standings with a victory this week.

Daniel Chopra 9th 4,796 pts

• He will almost certainly get into the CA Championship so long as he makes the cut this week.

• Chopra would take over first in the FedExCup points standings with a victory this week.

Jeff Quinney 16th 3,479 pts

• He needs a third-place finish in this event, or two top 10s the next two weeks, to get into the top 10 in the FedExCup standings and thus make it into the CA Championship.

• He would move from 16th to as high as third with a victory this week.

Steve Marino 17th 3,095 pts

• He needs a second-place finish in this event, or two top 5s the next two weeks, to get into the top 10 in the FedExCup standings and thus make it into the CA Championship.

• He is having an even better season this year than last, when he was 63rd going into the Playoffs. At this point last year, he had about 1,200 points on his way to 4,790; this year he has over 3,000 points already.

• He would move from 17th to as high as third with a victory this week.

Robert Allenby 20th 2,705 pts

• He is in the CA Championship based on his top 30 FedExCup points standing from last year.

Brandt Snedeker 52nd 1,487 pts

• He is in the CA Championship based on his top 30 FedExCup points standing from last year.

• He would move from 52nd to as high as fifthwith a victory this week.
