Shell Houston Open: Leaderboard
Chad Campbell, Ben Crane and K.J. Choi needed a low round on Friday to make sure they played the weekend at the Shell Houston Open, and that's exactly what they got -- and then some.

Campbell fired a 64 to move from a tie for 81st into a share of fourth, five strokes off the pace being set by Johnson Wagner. Crane's 65 vaulted him from a tie for 99th into a tie for ninth at 5 under while Choi's 64 put him another stroke back in a tie for 12th.
Frank Lickliter II started the second round tied for 114th, but he made sure he'd be cashing a check with an eagle on his final hole and a 67 that left him at 2 under. Robert Allenby was among those tied with Lickliter at the start of the day and his bogey-free 68 left him at 143 for the tournament and well within the cut line.
Kenneth Ferrie made birdie on the incredibly-tough par-4 18th his final hole to make the cut on the number. Ferrie bombed his drive nearly 340 yards, leaving him with a mere short iron into the green. After a mediocre approach to 29 feet, Ferrie rammed his birdie putt into the jar.
Others weren't so lucky. Parker McLachlin bogeyed the 18th to miss the cut by a shot. Matt Jones, who had started the year with a remarkable run of nine cuts made in nine starts, saw that streak come to an end. The Aussie missed the cut by a shot despite a birdie on the 17th hole.
