Will MacKenzie took the lead after a blistering 7-under 64 on Friday but some players weren't so fortunate.
When the 36-hole cut fell at 3-under 139, that meant only 76 players made it to the weekend.

Positive movers
Aaron Baddeley -- The young Australian moved from a tie for 90th into the top-20 on Friday with a 64. Looks like this father-to-be is going to bring home a sizeable check after he appeared to be a goner on Thursday.
Nathan Green -- Another Australian who had an excellent second-round score that moved him from missed-cut land (tied for 90th) into the hunt, Green fired a 66 on Friday.
Martin Laird -- Laird stood in a tie for 110th on Thursday but his second-round 65 helped improve his position. And what a sweet 65 it was -- Laird had an eagle, six birdies and two bogeys.

Negative movers
Michael Bradley -- This one's a heartbreaker. On Thursday, Bradley was tied for seventh. For a man who hasn't finished inside the top 10 since 2000, that was pretty exciting. But Bradley followed up Round 1's 66 with a 74 and dropped below the cutline.
Peter Lonard -- He sat in the top 30 after Round 1 but shot 77 on Friday and must now pack his bags and head home. It was two double bogeys and three bogeys that really did this Australian in.
Mark Calcavecchia -- The veteran was tied for 29th on Thursday but he will be heading home early because of Friday's 75. He made three birdies to offset two double bogeys and three bogeys but that wasn't good enough to stick around.

On the number
Steve Marino -- This time last week Marino was on top at the AT&T National. He's 3 under for the tournament and is still in the running at the John Deere Classic but will need to make a big jump on Moving Day for a repeat of last week's performance.
Cameron Beckman -- Beckman held a share of seventh place on the first day but nearly fell below the cutline after a second-round 73. Still, he made it on the number and will play on the weekend.
Jerry Kelly -- Wisconsin native Jerry Kelly carded a 72 on Friday and almost missed the cut in the Midwest. But don't worry -- he'll be back on Saturday and ready to improve upon his scores from the first two days.

Notable missed cuts
Sean O'Hair -- He won this event in 2005 but O'Hair won't be adding to his trophy collection this week. That's ok, though. Unlike the year when he won and had to obtain a last-minute passport because he'd gained entry into the British Open, O'Hair has already garnered a spot this season.
Tom Lehman -- Lehman dropped from a tie for 15th down into trunk-slammin' territory with a second-round 73. But he's heading to the British Open, a tournament he won back in 1996, and hopes to win major No. 2.
John Senden -- Senden, winner of the 2006 John Deere Classic, came thisclose but he just couldn't make the cut on Friday. With a 3-under 68, he jumped up from a tie for 110th yet missed the cut by one stroke.
