Will MacKenzie won the second tournament of his career this weekend at the Viking Classic, the 11th of 41 events of the 2008 season that have ended in a playoff. MacKenzie was remarkable around the greens, getting up and down for par 17 of the 19 times he missed the green in regulation. This was an important victory for MacKenzie, as he started the week at 178th on the money list and the two-year exemption for his 2006 win at the Reno-Tahoe open was due to expire at the end of this season. The win this week guarantees him fully-exempt status on the PGA TOUR through the end of 2010.
