The Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open cut came at 6-under par, which equals the lowest cut in relation to par in PGA TOUR history. A total of 83 players made the cut, therefore there will be another one on Saturday night.
Positive movers

John Huston. Tied for 93rd at the start of the round, Huston was in danger of missing the cut in Las Vegas. But he rallied on Friday with a 9-under-par 63 to make one of the biggest moves and to make the cut.
Steve Marino. If he'd followed up Thursday's 71 with another 71, Marino probably would have been sent packing. Instead he had an 8-under 64 and currently sits among the top-40 players at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
James Driscoll. Driscoll had eight birdies and just one bogey for a 65 on Friday. That was Driscoll's lowest round all season and secured him a spot in the weekend pairings.
Negative movers

Rory Sabbatini. With a 2-over-par 74 on Friday, Sabbatini sank down the leaderboard. He started the day in a tie for 58th but ended up missing the cut by five strokes.
Scott McCarron. McCarron's 3-over-par 75 in the second round was one of the highest all day. He made four bogeys and a double bogey on the 18th hole -- his ninth hole -- and only had three birdies, so the three-time PGA TOUR winner now has the weekend off.
Shane Bertsch. The two-time Nationwide Tour winner has played well on the PGA TOUR in the last few weeks, finishing inside the top 15 in three of his last five starts. However, he's heading home early this week after Friday's 74.
On the number

Steve Flesch. With a 4-under 68 on Day 2, Flesch safely sailed into the final two days. If not for three straight birdies on his final three holes, Flesch might not have made the weekend, though.
Jeff Maggert. Maggert had three birdies in his final four holes on Friday and will not be leaving Las Vegas. His 4-under 68, coupled with his first-round 70, meant he would be sticking around.
Jason Gore. Gore's second round was relatively tame, with just three birdies and one bogey. Still, it was enough to help him make the cut on the number and give him a chance to move off the Money List bubble -- he's currently No. 127 -- and keep his TOUR card.
Notable missed cuts

Steve Elkington. Former major winner Elkington didn't have a great week in Las Vegas, where the mantra seemed to be how low can you go? Elkington shot rounds of 75 and 74 for a 5-over-par total.
Jonathan Byrd. The three-time PGA TOUR winner had a strange back nine on Friday, making four birdies, two double bogeys and a bogey for a 37. Added to his front-nine score of 35, Byrd had an even-par 72 for the day, which wasn't enough to make the cut.
Billy Mayfair. With the leaders at 18-under par, it was imperative that guys make lots of birdies in the second round. Mayfair did that -- he had five birdies and an eagle -- but he also had three bogeys and a double bogey. He was 2-under par on Friday but finished at 1-over for the tournament.
