There's no Ryder Cup berth on the line, so Paul Casey won't be tugged in two directions in 2009. Or will he? The Englishman is sure to be one of the many veterans who will be chasing the FedExCup and trying to win the Race to Dubai, as well.
Casey had eight top-10s in 15 events on the European Tour last year. Three of those also counted toward the four he posted in the same amount of TOUR events. He earned right around $3 million worldwide, as a result.
Casey actually stayed here in the States to make sure that he played in enough tournaments -- and made enough money -- to retain his membership. European Ryder Cup captain Nick Faldo was impressed, nonetheless, and make him a Captain's Pick. -- Helen Ross
