If you don't watch Johnson Wagner any other week in 2009, be sure to see what happens when he plays in the Shell Houston Open. He tied for ninth there are as a rookie in 2007 and then came back and won the tournament last year. The victory admittedly came somewhat out of the blue. Wagner shared 38th at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in his 2008 debut, then missed six straight cuts before posting ties for 78th and 64th. When he got to Redstone, though, Wagner's life changed. An opening 63 eclipsed Wagner's previous career best -- also shot at Redstone -- set the tone for a wire-to-wire victory as he held off Chad Campbell and Geoff Ogilvy in the final round. And the title came with an added reward in Wagners first Masters invitation. -- Helen Ross

Johnson got a taste of the good life and liked it in '08. He took it all in stride and with a smile. There is room at the top for a young player this good.
