Course origins
Shadow Hills Country Club is a relatively flat, tree-lined golf course that is surprisingly difficult. Dog-legs on many holes force golfers to work the ball both directions off the tee. Moderate summer winds can play havoc on the players as well. Six lakes come into play on seven holes to further the challenge for every level of player.
The new 12th hole opened in the spring of 2002 and the remodeled No. 11 opened in 2003. The changes include a new green, enlarged lake in front of the green and 30 additional yards. This created a greater challenge on what had been the easiest par-4 on the course.
