CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand -- Friday's second round of the HSBC New Zealand PGA Championship has been suspended for the day due to inclement weather. Heavy overnight showers continued throughout the day on Friday and deemed the Clearwater Golf Club unplayable.
The second round will begin on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. local time. The full intention is to complete 18 holes on Saturday, make the cut and then play 36 holes on Sunday.
David Hearn, Matt Bettencourt and Darron Stiles currently sit atop the leaderboard after posting matching 6-under 66s on Thursday.
