Anthony Kim, who is at 13-under 203, heads into the final round with a four shot lead over Heath Slocum and Jason Bohn. Kim's 13-under 203 total is the lowest 54 hole total in the six year history of the event. Sergio Garcia previously held the lowest total for 54 holes when he held a six-stroke lead through 54-holes and was at 12-under 204 in 2005.

• Out of seven competitive rounds at Quail Hollow Club Anthony Kim's worst round is an even-par 72 in the first round last year when he was playing as a rookie. His scoring average for his seven rounds is 69.00. There is only one player who has a career scoring average in the 60s at the Wachovia Championship; Tiger Woods has averaged 69.92 in 12 rounds at Quail Hollow Club. Last year, Kim fired a 2-under 70 in the final round to finish T5 when there were only five rounds in the 60s recorded on Sunday out of 85 players.

• Anthony Kim, who has made the cut in 29 of 38 career starts on the PGA TOUR, holds a four-stoke lead heading into the final round at the Wachovia Championship. It is his first 54-hole lead out of his 38 career starts on the TOUR. He has held only one other overnight lead on TOUR, Kim was first-round leader of the 2007 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.

• Kim will be in the final pairing on Sunday for the second time in three weeks. Two weeks ago at the Verizon Heritage he played in the final grouping with Boo Weekely and closed with an even-par 71 to finish runner-up to Weekley. The Verizon Heritage was his second runner-up finish of his career on TOUR, and the first since he finished T2 in his professional debut at the 2006 Valero Texas Open.

• Anthony Kim (66) was the only player in the field on Saturday to card a bogey-free round.

• If Anthony Kim happens to collect his first career TOUR title on Sunday at Quail Hollow Club... • Kim would become eighth player in his 20s to win on the PGA TOUR in 2008. Four of the last five winners on TOUR have been in their 20s. The list of players who have won in their 20s this year: D.J. Trahan (Bob Hope Chrylser Classic), J.B. Holmes (FBR Open), Sean O'Hair (PODS Championship), Andres Romero (Zurich Classic of new Orleans), Johnson Wagner (Shell Houston Open), Trevor Immelman (Masters Tournament) and Adam Scott (EDS Byron Nelson Championship)

• Kim would become the youngest champion on the PGA TOUR at 22 years, 10 months and 15 days, since Sean O'Hair won the 2005 John Deere Classic at 22 years, 11 month, 29 days.

• Kim would be the fifth first-time winner on the PGA TOUR in 2008 and would join Brian Gay, Greg Kraft, Andres Romero and Johnson Wagner.

• Four of the five winners of the Wachovia Championship had a least one Major Championship title when they won the event at Quail Hollow Club. Heading into the final round there are four players in the top-10 with a Major Championship title -- Geoff Ogilvy (T6), Fred Couples (T8), Vijay Singh (T8) and Jim Furyk (T6). Furyk and Singh are also past champions of the Wachovia Championship.

• Heath Slocum is looking his first top-10 since finishing T10 at the Sony Open in Hawaii at the start of the 2008 season. Last year Slocum had a career year on TOUR playing in all four PGA TOUR Playoff events for the FedExCup to finish 30th in the final standings.

Stewart Cink and Pat Perez shared the low round of the day honors with a 7-under 65s. Both players jumped up the leaderboard on Saturday. Perez made the cut on the number and moved from T66 to T8, while Cink was one better to start the day and moved from T41 to T4.

• The 2009 Presidents Cup Captain Fred Couples fired a 3-under 69 on Saturday and is tied for eighth through 54-holes. Earlier this year he was T10 gong into the final round of the 2008 Shell Houston Open. In Houston he closed with three straight rounds in the 60s to finish T4, his best effort in a PGA TOUR event since he was T3 at the 2006 Masters Tournament

• Vijay Singh is the only player to make the 36-hole cut in all six of the Wachovia Championship events. Singh once again stands in the top-10 on the leaderboard heading into the final round of the Wachovia Championship. Singh has stood in the top-10 after 54 holes of play at the Wachovia Championship in each of the six years the event has been played. He has most top-10 finishes by any player at the Wachovia Championship with four. Phil Mickelson, who is T11 through 54-holes, has three top-10s.

• In the five year history of the tournament no player has posted four rounds in the 60s in a single event at Quail Hollow Club. With one round remaining there is not a single player who could post four rounds in the 60s.

• Through 19 tournaments on the PGA TOUR in 2008, the third-round leader has gone on to win 11 times, including each of the past three weeks: Boo Weekley -- Verizon Heritage; Trevor Immelman -- The Masters; Johnson Wagner -- Shell Houston Open; Adam Scott -- EDS Byron Nelson Championship.

• Happy 60th Birthday Peter Oosterhuis.
