2008 PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup
Tim Herron made the largest move of the 2008 PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, moving 80 spots from 133rd to 53rd. Kevin Streelman had a strong showing during the '08 Playoffs, moving 67 spots to 35th, just outside THE TOUR Championship field. Dudley Hart was the lowest ranked player entering the '08 Playoffs to make THE TOUR Championship (he started 68th). Camilo Villegas vaulted 40 spots in the standings during the '08 Playoffs thanks to his back-to-back wins at the BMW Championship and the TOUR Championship.

2007 PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup
Ranked 72nd entering the '07 PGA TOUR Playoffs, Arron Oberholser moved up to 34th thanks in part to a solid tie for second at the '07 Deutsche Bank Championship. Camilo Villegas vaulted up 28 spots in the '07 Playoffs because of his three top-10s in his four starts. Villegas was the lowest ranked player entering the '07 Playoffs to make it to THE TOUR Championship in '07 (he started 52nd). Steve Stricker entered the '07 Playoffs ranked 12th and moved to first after his win at The Barclays. He finished strong with two top-10s in his last three events, but Tiger Woods took the No. 1 spot back with his win at the BMW Championship.
