Greatest moments: 13th, 14th moments unveiled

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- The 13th and 14th moments in the Nationwide Tour's "20 Greatest Moments" program have been unveiled and feature Chip Beck's first par-4 ace in Nationwide Tour history in 2003 and Jason Gore's magical summer of 2005.

2003 / Chip Beck Records First Par-4 Ace in Nationwide Tour History
Never before had a hole-in-one been made on a par 4 on the Nationwide Tour until Chip Beck hammered a drive onto the green and into the hole on the 315-yard ninth at Champions Run in Omaha, Neb., during the first round of the 2003 Cox Classic. At the time, Beck joined Andrew Magee as the only players in recorded TOUR history to make a 1 on a par-4, Magee having done so in the PGA TOUR's Phoenix Open in 2001. Celebrating the Tour's 20th season in style, Welshman Richard Johnson joined the duo when he aced the 347-yard 15th hole at the Michael Hill New Zealand Open in March of this year. WATCH

2005 / Jason Gore's Summer to Remember
Jason Gore's summer to remember in 2005 began when the relative unknown captured the hearts of golf fans as he contended for the U.S. Open at Pinehurst. A few weeks later on the Nationwide Tour, he won back-to-back events in West Virginia and Wisconsin. And three weeks after that, aided by a second-round 59 that included an eagle on the last hole, Gore won the Cox Classic in Omaha to become only the seventh player in Tour history to earn a three-win promotion to the PGA TOUR. Not satisfied, he went on to win on the PGA TOUR in Pennsylvania in only his fourth start. WATCH

The six remaining "Greatest Moments" will be unveiled during the next three Nationwide Tour telecasts on GOLF CHANNEL airing between late July and September and on PGATOUR.COM. Two new moments will be featured each week.

The Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational (July 30 -- Aug. 2) is GOLF CHANNEL's next Nationwide Tour event. The final two moments will be revealed during the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft (September 17-20).

The No. 1 moment in Nationwide Tour history will be announced on GOLF CHANNEL and PGATOUR.COM on the final day of the season (October 25th) during the Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island (S.C.). The greatest moment will be based on a fan vote conducted on PGATOUR.COM that will commence after all 20 moments have been revealed.

The "20 Greatest Moments" is the centerpiece of this year's 20th-year celebration of the Nationwide Tour. The roster of moments features events and activities that have had significant bearing on the evolution, growth, impact and promotion of the Tour over the last 20 years, both on and off the golf course. Moments will involve alumni highlights from the Nationwide Tour and PGA TOUR and will span the late 1980s, '90s and current decade.
