Maruyama still tops in Japan; Ishikawa 12 shots back

KYOTO, Japan (AP) -- Daisuke Maruyama of Japan shot a 4-under 67 Saturday to lead by four strokes after the third round at the Asia-Pacific Open.

The 38-year-old Maruyama had five birdies and one bogey at the Joyo Country Club to total 11-under 202.

"I found a lot of the rough, more so than yesterday, but my putting and short game saved me," said Maruyama, who is bidding to end a four-year title drought.

China's Liang Wen-chong, the Asian Tour No. 1 in 2007, shot a 69 to be at 207 along with Kim Hyung-sung of South Korea (71).

Japanese teenager Ryo Ishikawa shot a 69 and is tied for 30th at 214.
