The Nationwide Tour makes its only stop in the great state of West Virginia this week for the Nationwide Tour Players Cup. In the five-year history of the event, the winner has been decided by more than one stroke only once.

Last year, Rick Price and Chris Anderson went into a playoff, where Price defeated him with a bogey on the first playoff hole. It was the third time in Nationwide Tour history that a playoff ended with an over-par score and the second time it happened in 2008.

The 7,308-yard, par-72 Pete Dye Golf Club has been the host course since the tournament's inception in 2004. Last year, it was the 16th (of the 33 courses played) least difficult course on Tour. While ranking No. 7 in most birdies (1,630) for the week, it also ranked No. 4 in most scores worse than double bogey (47). The ninth hole was the eighth most difficult hole on Tour (of the 594 played). The 500 yard par 4 saw the most scores worse than double bogey (18) in 2008.

Tom
GILLIS
Though he's only played in four events in 2009, he hasn't missed a cut, and his worse finish is T36. In the sixteen rounds he's played this year, he shot in the 60s nine times. Gillis leads the Tour in scoring average before the cut (68.22).
Jason
ENLOE
Jason won last week's event, and taking the person who won the previous week is an easy decision; however, it's even easier because he won this event back in '06 by defeating Boo Weekley in a playoff.
Chris
TIDLAND
Tidland was one of seven players last week to shoot all four rounds in the 60s. He recorded his second runner-up finish of the year and jumped from 16th on the money list to fifth. He leads the Tour in third-round scoring.
Jonas
BLIXT
Blixt started off '09 with four top-30s. After three missed cuts in a row, he appears to be back on track with strong finishes at the Knoxville Open and the Fort Smith Classic. He closed with a 61 last week, bettering his previous best final round by seven shots.
Josh
McCUMBER
Josh played in the U.S. Open last week at Bethpage and though he missed the cut with rounds of 78-73, it's no easy task to qualify for the U.S. Open. He's played in one Nationwide Tour event this year (Athens Regional Foundation Classic) and tied for 32nd.
