SAN FRANCISCO -- Here's an in-depth look at Friday's Four-Ball match between the United States duo of Stewart Cink and Lucas Glover and the Internationals' Tim Clark and Vijay Singh.

Overview: Tim Clark doesn't make a lot of eagles, but he made the biggest one of his career to give the Internationals a key point in the last completed match of the day. With the match all square going into the par-5 18th, the short-hitting Clark stood tallest against long-hitting Americans Stewart Cink and Lucas Glover. Clark was the only one of the four players to find the 18th green in two, nailing his second shot from 248 yards to 14 feet, and then sinking the putt to win the hole and the match. Two holes earlier, Clark and teammate Vijay Singh were 1 down, and the Internationals were staring at a two-point deficit if the U.S. could hold the lead. But both Clark and Singh birdied the 17th to square the match before Clark produced his heroics on the 18th. It was a tough match for the Americans to lose -- they chipped in off the green three times, the last one by Glover at the 16th for his first birdie of the day. Paired together for the second straight day, Cink and Glover, the U.S. two major winners this year, are now 0-2-0, with both of their matches going to the 18th hole. Clark has never lost a Four-ball match in his Presidents Cup career.

Key moment: Clark's eagle at the 18th, of course. He's made just six eagles on the PGA TOUR this year, which ranks him 72nd on that list. He normally can't take advantage of the par 5s because he's short off the tee, ranking 171st in driving distance. But he flexed his muscles at the right time Friday. That second shot shot with the 3-wood might be the shot of the tournament, at least through the first two days.

Quote: "Tim Clark, to do what he did at the end, to come down to make eagle to win that match was really the shot in the arm." -- Greg Norman

"It was obviously a tough finishing hole for me. I got on the tee not knowing whether I could actually reach in two. Certainly in the practice round I didn't get there. But I hit a great tee shot and just had the yardage, which was a perfect 3-wood for me. I mean, I had to get all of it to get it there. I just felt great in that situation. I felt calm over the ball and hit it as good as I could hit it." -- Tim Clark

"It was a close match all day. They chipped in three times and we didn't make much today, but we hung in there. ... We were 7 or 8 under and I think they did the same. That was a big one for us." -- Vijay Singh

Updated Presidents Cup player records: Stewart Cink (8-6-1 overall, 2-3-1 Four-Ball); Lucas Glover (2-5-0 overall, 0-3-0 Four-Ball); Tim Clark (5-6-1 overall, 4-0-1 Four-Ball); Vijay Singh (16-15-6 overall, 9-5-1 Four-Ball).
