PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- The first three rounds of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am will be played with preferred lies.
First-round co-leaders Dustin Johnson (PB/65) and Robert Garrigus (SP/65) have played a combined 392 rounds on the PGA TOUR. Prior to today, they have never led following a round.

Johnson tied for seventh last year in his first appearance at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Johnson got off to a great start with an eagle on the par-4 first hole on the Pebble Beach course. He holed out from 151-yards with a 9-iron.
Garrigus had an eagle of his own on the par-5 seventh hole at Spyglass. Garrigus hit a 5-iron 210 yards to 50 feet and made the putt.
Rich Beem (PB/66) missed the cut in his two previous appearances (1999 and 2000) at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Charley Hoffman (SP/66) has posted rounds in the 60s in 10 of his 14 rounds this year. Hoffman finished tied for 19th at the Bob Hope Classic, lost in a playoff at the FBR Open and finished tied for seventh at the Buick Open.

PGA TOUR rookie Bill Lunde, who was working in sales for the Las Vegas Founders three years ago, is two shots off the lead after a first-round 65 (PB). Lunde's only top 25 finish came earlier this year at the Bob Hope Classic where he finished tied for 14th, shooting a career-best 62 in third round.
Davis Love III is making his 23rd consecutive appearance in the AT&T Pebble Beach, dating back to 1986. Love III missed the cut five of the first seven times he played at Pebble Beach, but has only missed two cuts since with seven top-10s including wins in 2001 and 2003.
Mike Weir shot a 67 (PH) and is two strokes off the lead. Weir has six top-10s in 11 starts at Pebble Beach.
