Tiger Woods is the first player to win six Arnold Palmer Invitational titles.

Tiger Woods birdied the 72nd hole to beat Sean O'Hair by one stroke and claim his sixth Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard title.

• Woods matched his largest comeback after 54 holes (five strokes) with his victory Sunday. Woods also came back from five strokes down after 54 holes to win the 2000 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am (Mark Brooks and Matt Gogel).

• Out of Woods' 66 career wins, he has now come from behind to win 19 times.

• Woods is the first player to win six Arnold Palmer Invitational titles. The only other players with multiple victories at the event are Tom Kite (1982 and 1989) and Loren Roberts (1994-95).

• Four of Woods' last eight PGA TOUR wins have come on par-70 golf courses (2007 PGA Championship, 2007 TOUR Championship, 2008-2009 Arnold Palmer Invitational).

• Woods' five-stroke comeback victory Sunday is not the best in tournament history. Kite (1982) and Gary Koch (1984) both came from six strokes back to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

• Woods' last 54-hole comeback was at the 2007 BMW Championship, where he came from one stroke behind Steve Stricker and Aaron Baddeley to win. Woods actually had four 54-hole comeback victories during the 2007 season.

• Woods now has 12 career victories in Florida: the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2000-03 and 2008-09; the FUNAI Children's Miracle Network Classic in 1996 and 1999; Ford Championship at Doral in 2005-06; THE PLAYERS Championship in 2001; and the World Golf Championships-CA Championship in 2007.

• Woods now has won four events six or more times as a professional. They are the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational (1999, 2000, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2007); WGC-CA Championship (1999, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007); Buick Invitational (1999, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008); and Arnold Palmer Invitational (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2008, 2009).

Kevin Na turned in the best round of the day with a 4-under 66 to finish tied for 11th.

• O'Hair now has two career second-place finishes, with the other coming at the 2005 EDS Byron Nelson Championship.

• The cumulative scoring average for the week was 72.190. On Thursday, it was 72.118, then dropped to 72.068 in Friday's round, rose to 73.459 in Saturday's difficult conditions, and totaled 71.219 on Sunday.

Mark Calcavecchia withdrew prior to the final round.
