Q. Talk about this eagle?

CHAD CAMPBELL: I didn't hit a very good tee shot, I hit it a little left, luckily it stopped short of the bunker and had a perfect lie and just a perfect 3-wood and was able to hit it up there 12, 15 feet. Nice putt. It was definitely a great way to finish a round.

Q. So you are cognizant of these trees on the right-hand side?

CHAD CAMPBELL: You never want to be over there before anyway. You can get some interesting lies over there. But definitely with the trees it makes it where you really can't go over the green. Definitely a little tougher tee shot. That and 16 as well. Both the trees got me yesterday. I was able to avoid them today.

Q. Could you tell you were having one of those kind of nice days early on in your round, or did it take a while for you to get going? It looked like you started well and kind of kept it going.

CHAD CAMPBELL: You know, I felt good all week. I felt like I was hitting the ball well and rolling it pretty well. You know, just kind of kept plotting a long. Out here you got to be very aggressive, but you got to be patient as well. If you make a few pars in a row you can't get frustrated even though you know everybody is making a lot of birdies. So trying to stay patient, but at the same time being very aggressive and making birdies and trying to make eagles on the par-5s.

Q. Did you enjoy playing with Ryan, UNLV ties?

CHAD CAMPBELL: Yes, I did. It was good. We haven't played that much together. We really don't know each other that well. I'm not sure when he graduated, probably '01 or so. It was long ago. Unfortunately I'm old. It was good playing. We had quite a few people out there following us, a lot of our family and friends. That was good, a lot of support from Las Vegas.

Q. Was Coach out there with you today?

CHAD CAMPBELL: I'm sure he was out there a little bit today. He was out there yesterday probably for nine holes or so.

Q. Ryan was saying he felt comfortable playing here, do you feel the same way when you get to come back to this tournament?

CHAD CAMPBELL: Yes, absolutely. We spent a lot of time playing this golf course in college; usually not as good weather as this. But definitely feel comfortable out here. We played this course so many times. I always enjoy coming back and seeing everybody, all of the people involved with the golf program and obviously Coach.

Q. Chad do you find yourself when you are here getting pulled in a few different directions from all of the old UNLV golf boosters and people you have become friends with over the years where it could potentially be a distraction, or did do you manage that pretty well?

CHAD CAMPBELL: People are great. They don't ask for anything. I enjoy seeing them. Enjoy talking to them. But other than, we keep it like that. They come out and watch me play, and it's great to see them. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to spend with them off the course. Everybody is great here. It's easy for me.

Q. They know you are here to work?

CHAD CAMPBELL: Exactly.

Q. They respect that?

CHAD CAMPBELL: Exactly.

Q. What are your thoughts going into tomorrow. Ryan, we just asked him that same question, he said, hey, I'm playing well, I will keep it going. I would think you are of the same mindset.

CHAD CAMPBELL: There is a long ways to go. You have to make a lot of birdies to win this golf tournament. You still got 36 more holes. I definitely feel really well about the way I'm playing and hope I can continue making the putts and hitting some good iron shots.

Q. Do you think if the wind kicks up tomorrow afternoon or Sunday you are better prepared to handle it than most guys because of your experience playing here, or do you think everyone is in the same boat, it's just going to be a survival of the fittest?

CHAD CAMPBELL: Maybe a little bit. I was thinking this course played really difficult. When it's 40 degrees, and the wind is blowing 30, 40 miles an hour. I think everybody knows, everybody has seen the golf course and a little bit of wind over the years, so I don't think that it's that much of an advantage.
