The first groups are ready to tee off in Round 3 of the Frys.com Open. Here's how it sets up:

Groups We're Watching
Tee time Players
2:15 p.m. ET,
Hole No. 1
Rickie Fowler, Greg Owen, Justin Leonard
The top three on the leaderboard make an unlikely pairing, but have only five combined bogeys and three eagles this week.
2:05 p.m. ET,
Hole No. 1
Nick O'Hern, Ryan Moore, Chris Stroud
All three have kept both rounds well under 70, and Moore has gone 26 consecutive holes without a bogey.
1:55 p.m. ET,
Hole No. 1
Heath Slocum, Bryce Molder, Tim Clark
Clark's 13 birdies are second-most of anyone this week, and low scoring will be key during the weekend.

When Justin Leonard approaches a par 3 this weekend, get ready to mark down a birdie. The Texan has recorded five birdies on the par 3s at the Frys.com Open including four deuces in Friday's round. Leonard is 10 under for the tournament and half of his birdies have come on the par 3s.

Chris Stroud will be aggressive this weekend. He has to be -- this is his final tournament of the year. Stroud plans on missing the last two PGA TOUR events so he can be with his wife for the birth of their daughter. He is 125th on the Money List but is in sixth place heading into the weekend, so a nice finish could secure his card. Regardless of how he plays, Stroud says he's not missing his daughter's birth.

A pair of PGA TOUR rookies are having nice tournaments. Rickie Fowler is tied for the lead and Jamie Lovemark is tied for 13th. This is their first time at the Frys.com Open but not their first trip to the Grayhawk course. Fowler and Lovemark played junior events together at the Raptor Course and that course knowledge shows in their play.

Stat of the Day
Currently No. 102 on the money list, Nick O'Hern is making his 26th start of the season, with 16 made cuts and a season-best tie for third at the Shell Houston Open. He missed the cut a year ago in his only previous start at the Frys.com Open.
