BOCA RATON, Fla. -- With his first career victory on the Champions Tour, Mike Goodes earned a career-best check for $255,000 and a two-year exemption to the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. He also picked up 255 points in the season-long Charles Schwab Cup race.

Fulton Allem's strong finish earned him a spot in the next event.

• Goodes' victory was even more impressive considering the field. The 79-man field that started the week had won a combined 100 majors on the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour, and 843 events overall. There were also 10 World Golf Hall of Fame members.

• Runner-up Fulton Allem fell one shot short of being in a playoff with Goodes, but there were some positives for him. He earned a check for $149,600, the largest of his Champions Tour career, but more importantly, he earned a berth in next week's ACE Group Classic by virtue of his second-place finish. Allem was the second alternate at the start of the day and his top-10 finish earned him a spot in the field. Starting in 2009, one player not currently in the following event will earn a spot in the field with a top-10 finish.

Bernhard Langer continues to lead the Charles Schwab Cup race with 437 points. Goodes moves into second place with 255 points, nine better than Andy Bean. Gil Morgan (164) and Allem (150) round out the top five. Langer also leads the money race with $437,400.

Jeff Sluman's streak continues. By virtue of his 1-under-par 71 on Sunday, Sluman now has a string of 31 par/better rounds. The all-time Champions Tour record is 37 by Loren Roberts in 2006-2007. Larry Nelson is second with 32 in 2000.

• Bean's 4-under-par 68 gave him 10 straight rounds in the 60s dating back to last year. His 68 also gave him 17 straight rounds of par or better and 13 consecutive sub-par rounds, both dating back to 2008.

Don Pooley aced hole No. 3 with a 7-iron from 167 yards in Sunday's final round. It was the eighth hole-in-one in his career and the second on the Champions Tour. He also had one at the 2007 JELD-WEN Tradition. It was also the second in tournament history. Jim Dent made one at No. 8 in the final round in 2007.

• The field scoring average for the tournament was 70.996, a drop from last year's average of 71.380. The scoring average dropped to 69.987 on Sunday and 33 players posted rounds in the 60s, the most in three days. The hardest hole was No. nine for the week and the easiest was No. 18.

• With just one non-exempt player advancing with a top-10 finish (Allem), three others not currently in next week's field missed out. Mark James finished tied for fourth, while David Edwards and Russ Cochran finished tied for seventh. It was James' second straight top-10 effort.
