SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Tournament officials today announced that former Ryder Cup rivals Tom Lehman and Bernhard Langer have declared themselves a team in the Legends Division at the 32nd annual Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf to be held April 20-26 at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa.

Lehman, who turns 50 on March 7, is scheduled to make his first Champions Tour appearance at the event. A longtime fixture on the PGA TOUR, Lehman earned five titles during his career including the British Open and TOUR Championship in 1996. The Arizona resident has played on three U.S. Presidents Cup squads, three U.S. Ryder Cup teams and served as captain of the 2006 U.S. Ryder Cup team at The K Club in Ireland.

"I am very excited to be a part of the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf this coming April. Not only will it be my first Champions Tour event, which is a significant milestone for me, but I also look forward to teaming with Bernhard, whom I respect so much as both a person and a player," said Lehman. "Team events are always fun, and we've been friends for many years, so it would be a great to win with him right out of the box.'"

A native of Germany, Langer is a two-time Masters champion with 58 international victories on his resume. He has been a member of 10 European Ryder Cup teams and served as captain of the 2004 winning team at Oakland Hills Country Club in Birmingham, Mich.

Langer has found continued success on the Champions Tour since his debut in August 2007, winning five events en route to earning several 2008 Champions Tour end-of-year awards including Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, the Arnold Palmer Award as the Tour's leading money winner and the Byron Nelson Award for the lowest scoring average. Langer tied for sixth in his first Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf appearance last year with then partner David Edwards.

"Tom and I have been friends for a long time, so I'm really looking forward to it," said Langer. "I've only experienced playing against him in the Ryder Cup, so I think we will have a lot of fun playing on a team together for once. We're both accomplished players and if we're on top of our game, hopefully we'll contend."

The Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf's unique format features a total of three team competitions during the week, starting with the Demaret Division for ages 70+ on Monday-Tuesday (unofficial money) followed by the Raphael Division for ages 50+, on Friday and Saturday (unofficial money). Official competition begins with the first round of the Legends Division on Friday, April 24. The 54-hole, two-man, better-ball format will once again be counted as an official money/official win for both team members. Previously held as an individual competition, Andy North and Tom Watson became the first team to win under the Legend Division's new team and official win format last year.

Tickets are on sale now with daily ticket prices starting at $20 (The price of single day tickets increases to $25 at the gate). Week-long Emerald Club passes are $75 ($65 for age 60+). Emerald Club passes include admission into the National Car Rental Emerald Club Pavilion Wednesday-Sunday. Tickets may be purchased by calling toll free, 877-942-1123 or 912-234-5700 or by visiting the tournament's Web site at www.LMLOG.com.

The Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf is part of the Champions Tour's "The Road to the Charles Schwab Cup", a season-long points race that kicks off in Hawaii with 26 official events and culminates in Northern California at Sonoma Golf Club Oct. 26-Nov. 1, with $2.1 million in payouts awarded to the season's top five leading performers.
