    Says of days on foreign tours: "I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I learned so much, not only about golf, but about myself. I'll be telling stories about Asia until the day I die."...Wife, Cathi, active in TOUR Wives Association, has served as his caddie on occasion...Known for his patented "bucket" golf hat...Active in promoting adoption through the Fore Adoption Foundation and the Dave Thomas Foundation. Places a photo of a local foster child on his golf bag at every TOUR event to raise awareness for foster children. Also spends one afternoon during the week with a local foster child.
