Editor's note: During the first round of the BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs , PGATOUR.com's Joe Chemycz sat down and discussed some relevant topics with a few of the celebrities competing alongside Nationwide Tour players at the event. PGATOUR.com: What was the last movie you cried at? BELL: Oh, man ... that’s one I have to think about. I have no idea! It’s been a while. I’ve seen a lot of kids’ movies for the last three years with my little girl. Yeah, that’s a tough one. PGATOUR.com: A lot of actors can’t watch themselves on screen without cringing. What about you? BELL: It’s not so bad now. In the first year or so it used to be different or weird. I’m okay now. I can actually watch myself and not be too critical and hopefully learn from my mistakes. PGATOUR.com: Were you in high school plays? BELL: No, I wasn’t an actor then. I was real shy, painfully shy. I took an acting class to overcome my shyness and ended up loving it and it just kind of went from there. PGATOUR.com:Tell me about your appearance on Match Game. BELL: Oh my gosh that was a long time ago. Was that the one where I was pretending to be the body double? When was that? I did a few game shows back then. It was a way for an actor to make some extra money and get on TV. It was a lot of fun. PGATOUR.com: How many times a month do you play golf? BELL: Once a year. Seriously! This time I went out about two weeks ago and took, what, four lessons or so to get ready for this week. PGATOUR.com: What’s your best score so far? BELL: I don’t even know. I don’t usually keep score but I do know that I outdrove both of the pros in my group today (partner Ken Duke and Michael Long) on the last hole!! I guess I shouldn’t say that, huh? PGATOUR.com: Can you put your favorite “Bells” in order? BELL: Definitely Taco Bell is number one and then Belle from Beauty and the Beast. The rest I’m not so sure of. PGATOUR.com: Before your role in the series, did you know what JAG stood for? BELL: I did not. I didn’t even know the difference between the Marines and the Navy, I was so bad. Yep. PGATOUR.com:Your mother is a native of Iran, can you say “I think that’s in the water” in Farsi? BELL: “Rafteh too ahb.” PGATOUR.com: You already have a tattoo on one ankle. If you were to get a golf tattoo on the other ankle, what would it be? BELL: (laughing) It would have to be a cute little one with a ball sitting on a tee with something pretty on the ball. PGATOUR.com: Thank you, good luck the rest of the week. BELL: Hopefully we’ll have some fun. Thanks, Joe. |
