McALLEN, Texas -- Ashley Prange, a contestant on The Golf Channel's popular reality series "Big Break", moved into position for her second Futures Tour title Saturday, closing with an eagle for a 4-under 68 and a two-stroke lead in the Jalapeno Futures Classic. Prange, who won the Greater Tampa Duramed Futures Classic last month, had a 6-under 138 total on the Palm View course. The 24-year-old former North Carolina player competed in "The Big Break V: Hawaii" -- taped in October and currently airing. On the 474-yard 18th, Prange hit a 3-wood from 195 yards to 15 feet to set up her eagle putt in perfect scoring conditions. "You have to take advantage of a day like this," Prange said. "I knew I had a tremendous opportunity to play the back nine almost wind-free. ... I'm in it for the dogfight. Don't underestimate me." Jordan Cherebetiu (66), Kristy McPherson (68) and Jin Young Pak (70) were tied for second, and Yeon Joo Lee (69), Stella Lee (69) and Marie-Josee Rouleau (70) were 3 under. ©The Associated Press.
