Q&A: Bowden yearns for Europe and a sit-down with MJ

In this edition, PGATOUR.com’s Dave Lagarde spoke with Craig Bowden, winner of the 2006 Northeast Pennsylvania Classic, who regained his PGA TOUR card for 2007 when he finished fourth on the Nationwide Tour money list.

PGATOUR.com: Tell me three things not related to golf that you consider must-dos before you’re on the wrong side of the divot?

BOWDEN: Take my wife to Europe and walk my daughter down the aisle.

PGATOUR.com: What is your wildest golf dream?

BOWDEN: Winning THE PLAYERS Championship.

PGATOUR.com: What aspect of the Nationwide Tour will you miss most next season?

BOWDEN: The incredible camaraderie on this Tour. It is unmatched.

PGATOUR.com: What was your welcome-to-professional-golf moment?

BOWDEN: Meeting Mr. Nicklaus.

PGATOUR.com: You’ve been granted a 60-minute sit-down with any figure in the world of golf, living or dead. What’s your first question -- and to whom would you address it?

BOWDEN: I’d like to talk to Michael Jordan. I’d ask him, How do you do it?

PGATOUR.com: Describe the menu, from soup to nuts, of your next title celebration dinner. And name the wine pairings.

BOWDEN: I’d want one of Larry’s Giant Subs and any cabernet sauvignon.

PGATOUR.com: Name five songs in your iPod.

BOWDEN: You’re Beautiful, Hi and Dri.

PGATOUR.com: Other than winning a tournament, what would make next year a success?

BOWDEN: Finishing in the top 80.

PGATOUR.com: The first time you're paired with Tiger, what would you say to break the ice?

BOWDEN: Whatz up?’’

BOWDEN: Fred Funk. We both like to talk.
