Shoeless Joe Jackson Memorial Park

Former Chicago White Sox Outfielder "Shoeless Joe Jackson" began his baseball career in Greenville during the early 1900s. The Greenville County recreation district has developed a memorial park on the site where Jackson played in the city's early textile leagues. His grave is located at Woodlawn Memorial on Wade Hampton Boulevard. You may call to get a media kit and map to his gravesite.

This 100-acre animal park features two unique sections. The first is an area of about 17 acres that you can walk through at your own pace to view many animals in their natural habitats. This is visited via Outback safari buses. Many of the animals have been seen in commercials and movies.
