Rocco Mediate gave it all he had, and actually led the world's best player by a shot heading to the 18th hole of Monday's U.S. Open playoff. But Tiger Woods does not go down easily, and he ended Mediate's dream run by winning his 14th major -- and third U.S. Open -- on the first hole of sudden death. Story
