CureSearch Family Golf Clinic Hosted by Greg Norman

On Friday, December 11, 2009 be sure to join in the fun when Greg Norman hosts a family event to remember!

Details
Beginning at 2 p.m., the tournament's gates will be opened to one and all free of charge. Upon conclusion of first round tournament competition (approx. 4:00 p.m.), tournament host Greg Norman will conduct a Junior Instructional Clinic that will be followed by an exciting Trick Shot exhibition from Dennis Walters, the 2008 PGA of America Distinguished Service Award recipient. Please visit www.denniswalters.com for more information. The Shark Shootout is pleased to announce that Suncast Corporation will be returning as the exclusive sponsor of this annual Shootout tradition. The continued support of Suncast Corporation will once again bring this already tremendous event to an entirely new level. For more information on Suncast, visit www.suncast.com. This memorable event will take place on the Tiburon Golf Club Driving Range and will provide fun for the whole family. Mark your calendars!

History
One of The Shark Shootout's youngest traditions, the CureSearch Family Golf Clinic began in 2003 with the creation of a Junior Golf Clinic. Six years later, the Junior Clinic continues to grow as PGA TOUR players such as Scott McCarron and John Daly and Trick Shot Artists Chuck "The Hitman" Hiter and Ben Witter have joined tournament host Greg Norman as he treats 300 third and fourth graders from Collier County and a host of others who wanted to take part in an event they would not soon forget.

Prior to the clinic, the students were given an educational in-class project which increased their awareness of childhood cancer and helped them to better understand how kids their age deal with such a terrible disease. "Happy Hats," loose-fitting, colorfully designed hats, which help children cope with hair loss due to chemotherapy, were made by the students and presented to the CureSearch organization along with packages of school supplies to be distributed to children at Lee Memorial Hospital and others who are battling cancer around the country.

This "event within the event" has quickly become one of the most fun, light-hearted and enjoyable components of the Shootout week, so don't miss out in 2009!
