Where to Eat:
- Little India
This is definitely more than your average curry house. The Nepalese chef offers cuisine from both northern India and Nepal. The restaurant is especially known for its tandoori dishes, and for its selection of baked nan breads. Little India is also the only restaurant in the Sea World Plaza that offers hookahs, though they’ll gently ask you to smoke on the outdoor pavilion during peak hours. MC, V.

- Lao Yuan Zi (Chinese Sichuan)
They have Sichuan and Hunan food so spicy that
scientists are looking into the connection between Lao
Yuan Zi’s cuisine and global warming. A favourite dish
is the hotpot, made with fiery red chillies and a variety of
meat and vegetables. A plethora of cold-vegetable dishes
abound, as do meat, seafood, and vegetable dishes of
all sorts. If you order the Sichuan hotpot, the best strategy
is to keep a bowl of white rice close at hand; beer won’t
douse this fire fast enough. Be warned; this place can get
rather noisy. No credit cards.

- Blue Italian Seafood and Grill
Arguably one of the finest Italian restaurants in China,
the decor, as the name suggests, is blue -- blue walls,
ceilings, and mellow indigo lighting. The food is
expensive but worth every penny. If you’re really in the
mood for decadence, try the dessert tray -- chocolates,
pastries, and eight different types of mousse surround a
caramelized sugar statue of David. AE, DC, MC, V.

haute-cuisine scene, 360 takes up the top two floors of
the Shangri-la hotel, and offers sumptuous dishes like
homemade pasta with eggplant, zucchini, and pesto
sauce and ginger-crusted-salmon fillet with couscous and
lemon celery sauce. Ambiance is chic, and the view from
any table in the house is breathtaking. For food, decor,
and view we can’t recommend this place highly enough.

This restaurant specially spiced homemade tomato sauce is then spread evenly over our hand tossed dough and topped with freshly grated 100% mozzarella cheese. It is then finished with fresh toppings and baked to perfection. Get the pizza that acclaimed American pizza expert Ted Wilson says this about: "NYPD’s pizza is the best in China!"
