Fifth-Year Sellout Anticipated
CHARLOTTE N.C. - Tickets for the 2007 edition of the Wachovia Championship will go on sale Monday, November 13 for one
of North Carolina's premier sports events.
For the first time, the cost of parking at authorized lots and shuttle service to and from Quail Hollow Club are included
in the ticket price for the April 30-May 6 PGA TOUR event.
Ticket options include a Practice Pack that consists of daily tickets for Monday's pro-am along with Tuesday and Wednesday's
practice rounds for $25. Tickets for the first two rounds Thursday and Friday are $40 each and tickets for the final two rounds
Saturday and Sunday are $50 each. Weekly books are also available for $140.
Due to the large volume of renewal purchases by past patrons, a limited number of Premium Tickets which consist of Champions
Club, Event Lawn and Executive Club packages do exist but are expected to be sold out soon.
The general public may purchase tickets by visiting www.wachoviachampionship.com
or by calling (800) 945-0777.
To accommodate families, children ages 12 and under are free with a paid adult admission (one child per paying adult).
Weekly ticket books include admission to all seven days of the tournament. With ticket books, the same person does not
have to use the ticket each day, allowing family members, friends and business associates to share the cost of the event.
Proceeds from the 2007 Wachovia Championship will benefit Teach For America, a national education foundation that provides
a corps of outstanding recent college graduates of all academic majors who commit to teach for two years in underserved urban
and rural public schools. In four years, the Wachovia Championship has donated $5.7 million to charities.
The Wachovia Championship's $6.3 million purse is one of the highest on the PGA TOUR, guaranteeing the winner in excess
of $1 million. In 2005, the Wachovia Championship signed an agreement with the PGA TOUR to hold the event in Charlotte through
the year 2010.
About the Wachovia Championship The Wachovia Championship is one of the largest, most prestigious sporting
events in the Charlotte region. Now leading up to its fifth year, the tournament is intended as an annual tradition that will
bring customers, players and patrons back each year for an unforgettable golf experience. In a short four years, the
national and international golf community has already recognized it as one of the top events on the PGA TOUR. The 2007 tournament
will be held April 30-May 6. Sponsored by Wachovia Corporation (NYSE:WB), the tournament's $6.3 million purse is one of the
largest on the PGA TOUR. A combination of Quail Hollow Club, the spirit of the Charlotte area community and the support of
Wachovia are several reasons the Wachovia Championship has and should continue to draw many of the world's top golfers to
Charlotte.
