Sixth-Year Sellout Anticipated - Championship Website Upgraded for Friendly Patron Experience
CHARLOTTE N.C., November 9, 2007-Tickets for the 2008 edition of the Wachovia Championship, where Tiger
Woods will be the defending champion, go on sale Monday, November 12.
The Wachovia Championship is not only one of the premier events in the North Carolina region, but also in the world. Last
year's championship was one of only nine tournaments around the globe where all of the top-10 players in the world gathered
to compete.
Ticket options include a Practice Pack that consists of daily tickets for Monday's Pro-Am along with Tuesday's
practice round and Wednesday's Pro-Am for $25. Tickets for the first two rounds Thursday and Friday are $40 each and tickets
for the final two rounds Saturday and Sunday are $50 each. A very limited amount of Weekly books are also available for $140.
Once again, the cost of parking at authorized lots and shuttle service to and from Quail Hollow Club are included
in the ticket price for the April 28-May 4 PGA TOUR event.
Today is also the re-launch of an upgraded and redesigned wachoviachampionship.com. Patrons and
sports fans will find more photos, videos and easy navigation to purchase tickets by visiting www.wachoviachampionship.com. The site will continue to have new tools added as championship week approaches.
Frequent visits are recommended for the most up to date information. Patrons can also purchase tickets by calling (800)
945-0777.
The Wachovia Championship is offering two new Premium Ticket options this year:
The Ultimate Access package includes access to the Clubhouse, Event Lawn, 17th green Executive Club,
8th green Champions Club, 16th green Overlook Club, 3rd green Dining Chalet and Grounds along
with spectacular amenities and merchandise.
Also new is The Overlook Club which provides access to a lakeside setting on the 16th green with
panoramic views of three greens - 14, 16 and 17. Included in this package are many upscale additions. For more information
on both, please visit the championship website.
Due to the large volume of renewal purchases by past patrons, a limited number of traditional Premium Tickets
remain. These include Champions Club and Executive Club packages. Event Lawn packages are already sold out.
To accommodate families, children ages 12 and under are free with a paid adult admission (one child per paying
adult).
Weekly ticket books include admission to all seven days of the tournament. With ticket books, the same person
does not have to use the ticket each day, allowing family members, friends and business associates to share the cost of the
event.
A majority of the proceeds from the 2008 Wachovia Championship will benefit Teach For America, a national foundation
that provides a corps of outstanding recent college graduates of all academic majors who commit to teach for two years in
underserved urban and rural public schools. In five years, the Wachovia Championship has donated over $7.5 million to charities.
