Dear 2008 Volunteer -

As we enter the holiday season and reflect on the past year, we would like to thank you for all of the time, energy and passion that each of you brought to this year's Charles Schwab Cup Championship. In these tough economic times, your commitment to this Championship illustrates the amazing and unselfish spirit of volunteerism. 

The weather was a challenge throughout the week, but thanks to your efforts, we were able to complete 72 holes, crown two champions - Andy Bean, Charles Schwab Cup Championship winner; and Jay Haas, Charles Schwab Cup champion - and will return more than $400,000 to charity for a six- year total of $1.8 million.  That's certainly something all of us can be proud of as we celebrate the season of giving.

Our volunteer survey is online, and I encourage each of you to complete this survey with constructive comments.  We want to continue to make our Championship enjoyable for each of you, our fans, sponsors and players, and your feedback is an invaluable part of this process.

Thank you again for all of your hard work and support of the 2008 Championship event. Our 2009 Championship dates are October 26th through November 1st, 2009.

Due in large part to the efforts of volunteers like you, the 2003 - 2008 Championship events have donated over $1,800,000,000 to local charities including the Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma Valley, Hanna Boys Center, Sonoma County Children's Charities, CommonBond Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Twin Valley Acquatics, Young Life, the Presentation School, The Volunteer Center of Napa, Vineyard Workers Services, the Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation and many more.

Volunteers are the backbone of this championship and we really appreciate your generosity! We hope that all of you will return to make the 2009 CSCC better than last year.
