Attractions/Recreation:  Home to one of Southern California's premier attractions - Six Flags Magic Mountain.  Other favorites include the William S. Hart Park & Museum (the estate of legendary silent film star, William S. Hart),  Mountasia Family Fun Center, The Promenade, Town Center, Vasquez Rocks and Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio & Museum.  Outdoor recreation includes golf, horseback riding and hiking & bicycle trails.  Several outdoor venues include Castaic Lake, Bouquet Canyon, Vasquez Rocks and Placerita Canyon Park.

Dining:  A selection of tastes can be found at Valencia Town Center Mall, which offers a full-service food court with 23 eateries and specialty foods inside the mall.  Thirteen restaurants line the entrance at Town Center Drive and The Promenade, offering Italian, French, and Mexican cuisine.  Family fun and entertainment is offered at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor located at Mountasia Family Fun Center.  A variety of other popular restaurants that fit the family budget fill the Santa Clarita Valley.

Shopping:  Over 110 specialty stores and boutiques are located at Valencia Town Center mall.  Major department stores include JC Penny, Robinsons-May and Sears.  Macy's is scheduled to open in the next few years.  With the creation and development of Town Center Drive, nationally recognized as one of America's leading "new suburban main streets," the shopping destination has grown to a critical mass that encompasses 1.5-million square feet of prominent retail, dining and entertainment destinations in the heart of Santa Clarita Valley.  The Promenade, just down the road, offers a variety of shops geared to living and business.  A selection of antique store containing gift items, antique collectibles and furnishings can be found in and around the Santa Clarita Valley.
