Released January, 2004:
Austin, Texas. - The Kinko's Classic of Austin, an annual stop on the PGA TOUR's Champions
Tour schedule, contributed $100,000 to more than twenty local charities from proceeds of this past spring's event. Now entering
its second year, the event is expected to once again make a difference for area charitable organizations. "The Kinko's
Classic of Austin represents tremendous opportunity for Kinko's to give back to the community," explained Paul Rostron, Executive
Vice President and Chief People Officer for Kinko's. "With the momentum of the event's inaugural year behind us, we're excited
at the prospects of growing our support for many worthy organizations this year." Rick Gardner, Chairman, Greater
Austin Youth Foundation, adds, "Of all the people who work so hard to make the tournament a success, we particularly want
to salute our 750 plus volunteers, without whose dedication, we would not be able to help so many local charities."
Local recipients of donations from the 2003 Kinko's Classic include major beneficiaries The First Tee of Greater Austin and
Children's Medical Center of Central Texas. "The First Tee of Greater Austin is honored to be associated with the
Kinko's Classic. Not only does the event create life long memories for the youth, volunteers and mentors of The First Tee
of Greater Austin, but it also plays an integral part in helping to fund the development of the Harvey Penick Golf Campus.
Named after Austin's legendary golf instructor, the Harvey Penick Golf Campus, opening fall 2004, will be a unique youth and
family friendly facility." Jennifer MacCurrach, Executive Director, The First Tee of Greater Austin.
"We are so grateful to be a recipient of the proceeds from this prestigious event! This will be an especially
exciting year as the contribution we receive from the Kinko's Classic will go towards the construction of the new children's
medical center planned to open in the spring of 2007 at the former Mueller Airport site. This new state-of-the-art facility
will replace Children's Hospital of Austin and will serve all of the sick and injured children of Central Texas for many generations
to come. More than just "bricks and mortar" this new medical center is the most significant initiative for children in the
history of our community." Missy Wood, Executive Director, Children's Medical Center Foundation of Central Texas. The
second annual Kinko's Classic of Austin takes place May 3-9, 2004, at The Hills Country Club. For information on the
