AUSTIN, Texas -- The Champions Tour today announced that FedEx Kinko's has extended its title sponsorship of the FedEx
Kinko's Classic for three years through 2008.
The 54-hole tournament, first played in 2003 got underway this morning at The Hills Country Club in Austin, Texas. Larry
Nelson is the defending champion. All three rounds will air on The Golf Channel (5 - 7:30 p.m. ET), with taped reairs each
evening.
With this extension of FedEx Kinko's, the Champions Tour currently has 21 tournament agreements in place through at least
2007. Since the beginning of the year, the Champions Tour has announced title sponsor extensions with Allianz, SBC, Toshiba,
Wal-Mart and, just last week, Liberty Mutual Group.
"The good news regarding title sponsorship activities continues on the Champions Tour," said Champions Tour president Rick
George. "This three-year extension with FedEx Kinko's is one more example of the commitment and belief our title sponsors
have in the Tour. FedEx Kinko's has been very pleased with the benefits it has realized from the FedEx Kinko's Classic. On
behalf of the Tour and all the players, we thank FedEx Kinko's for all they do in support of the Champions Tour."
