![]() The George and Barbara Bush Endowment for Innovative Cancer Research is a critical and permanent part of M. D. Anderson Cancer Center's research effort. Each year, funds distributed from the endowment support new and innovative avenues of research, reducing the time researchers must spend writing grant applications and allowing them to focus more fully on acquiring knowledge and other scholarly pursuits. Only interest from endowment funds is used to fund research, allowing the endowment capital to remain untouched as a long-term, predictable source of revenue for the future. |
| Golfers Against Cancer |
![]() Golfers Against Cancer was established in Kingwood, Texas by a group of golfers wishing to help friends and family members diagnosed with the disease. Their monies and fundraising efforts fuel the work of researchers dedicated to finding a cure. Beneficiaries of the funds are selected on the basis of the most promising cancer research to speed a cure and those who assure that all donated funds go directly to cancer research. Preference is given to research causes that use medical peer review to determine ongoing funding and monitoring progress. |
